I hope you are looking forward to a good summer and that you find this City Council Update informative and helpful. As with other Updates there are a quite a few entries. Please scroll down and select the items that are most interesting to you. I would like to highlight the first entry about the Affordable Housing Incentive Study. Please save the date of Monday, June 15 for an important meeting of the City Council’s Committee on Human Services to hear and discuss the final recommendations from the Study. Please see my description of the City’s What’s Up Watertown publication which I believe can serve as the go-to forum to learn what is happening in Watertown and Watertown government. You will see a very long entry, Watertown’s Housing Plan 2026-2030 (Plan). If housing is a primary concern for you, I urge you to take a close look at this entry and consider sharing questions you have about the Plan. There is more in the Update – entries on open space, development, the Watertown Square demonstration project, arts and culture, and more. Again, scroll to what interests you the most. As always, your thoughts and comments are welcomed and if you think there are others – friends, family members, neighbors, and colleagues – who might be interested in reading about what is happening in Watertown, please feel free to forward it to them.
