Friends and Supporters,I hope all is well with you, and you are ready for summer weather and vacation travel. Thank you for visiting my website. Please take a moment to look through the “Issues” section for summaries of the 2025 budget, updates on the new 311 service and new City Hall office hours, information about new affordable housing, an introduction to our first commissioners on the Human Rights Commission, my thoughts on short-term rentals, and most importantly, an update of the Watertown Square Area Plan.
I want to thank everyone who attended my Annual City Council Meeting on May 22. Our Charter requires each councilor to hold an annual community meeting. It was a great meeting featuring thoughtful comments and concerns by residents about congestion on cut-through streets, biolab safety, short-term rentals, affordable housing, the need for greater police enforcement of speeding violations, more owner-occupied affordable units, the need for more tree planting, and concerns about the plans for Watertown Square. There was even a suggestion that city councilors might be evaluated by the members of the forthcoming Blue Ribbon Commission that will recommend compensation for city councilors.
I look forward to hearing from you and thanks again for stopping by.
